Passive Retaliation

I keep struggling to use passive in German, instead of the false passive which just uses the "to be" verb and an adjectiv-ized form of a verb. It just doesn't seem natural to have so many verbs bunched together. (For example, every italicized word in the following sentence is a verb: "Das Haus hatte verkauft werden müssen.")

In retaliation, I have thought up my own English sentence that has a lot of verbs put together and that I hope will send German speakers reeling:

She was said to be doing confusing paintings. (Notice the use of an adjective with an ending that looks like a verb and a verb being used as a noun to add confusion.)

Heh. Take that!
