I took my last test final today. I had to guess from which poem three passages were. Not just one, THREE! Yikes! I guessed correctly on two of them, but not on the other (I checked as soon as I got out). Plus, I couldn't come up with anything to say about some of the passages, like, "I do not know which to prefer,/The beauty of inflections/Or the beauty of innuendoes,/The blackbird whistling/Or just after." (Wallace Stevens, 13 Ways of Looking at a Blackbird) It's one of those poems that the more you read it, the more you like it, but the less you see why a professor would put it on a test, because you can't seem to analyze it, despite its beautiful imagery.
Ever since the test got out, I've been in this computer lab cranking out papers. On one of them, I realized I was doing pretty well, so I got into it, and then I realized I only had 2 hours to finish the other three, so I got working! Now my shoulders and neck and head are about to fall off, although, I guess if my shoulders went so would the other two, and my brain is a little bit frazzled. Anyway, after I get this last one done (the last three are horrible!) I have to go turn it in and then book it to the bus stop and hope for a lot of mercy from my professor!

Next semester should be even more crazy, since I'm taking all of my 5000 level classes at the same time. That way I can graduate, but I just found out that I need to take the GRE this month! YIKES!
