Apology and Some Goodies

I have to apologise for the lame writing skills I've adopted since being on the road. I know my posts are much less witty, but perhaps the content is better?

Anyway, here are some things to get you interested: I can't help noticing the whacked spellings here, such as the one I used in the first sentence of this post. Every time I see one of these, I do a double-take and then realize that it's correct, here. I just passed a sign in this hospital (it's also the school Alana attends) that said "ageing." Yikes.

Today Alana laughed and laughed when I said "nifty" because "it's a funny word."

Amy, my beloved sister, asked me if I laughed every time I say, "Tooting," which is the name of the neighborhood in London where I'm staying. I told Alana about it last night, and she didn't know why it would be funny. After explaining, she thought it was funny too.

  1. I've been loving your posts. They allow me to live vicariously through you...and that is good.

I know I laugh out loud every time I see the word tooting in one of your posts!

  2. Okay I'll admit how slow I am sometimes. I didn't even catch the "Tooting" thing. Maybe because we watched Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and so I just keep thinking about the "Toot Sweet" song when I read about "Tooting". So there's two meanings for you!
