Question

Aaron's question:

Why can you say "however," "whatever," "wherever," and "whoever," but not "whyever"?

Whyever.

  1. My mom would use whyever to emphasize
asking a question, for example, Whyever would you do something like that?

  2. It seems like a British person might pull it off well.

  3. You can say whyever. I say "whyever not?" all the time. Such as with yearbook last year: "Did you finish the indexing I assigned you?" "No." "Whyever not?"
